Medmal group TDC names Robert White COO

California-based medmal insurance group TDC has appointed Robert White as a chief operating officer.

In the new role, he reports to the company’s chairman and CEO Richard Anderson, and will oversee the operations of its four business units.

TDC consists of: The Doctors Company, which is the country’s largest physician-owned medmal insurer; Healthcare Risk Advisors; E&S insurer TDC Specialty Underwriters; and health plan analytics firm Medical Advantage.

White has over 50 years’ industry experience and joined The Doctors Company in 2011, with its acquisition of liability insurer FPIC Group. Since then, he has worked as an executive vice president of medical professional liability at the company.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Richard Anderson said: "I am extremely pleased that Bob will be taking on this vital role.
