NFP Canada hires financial lines broker Saddington

NFP has appointed Scott Saddington as a financial lines broker at its Canadian business, Inside P&C understands.

He joins as a senior vice president and moves to the business from Willis Towers Watson, where he led the intermediary’s financial lines and M&A division in Canada.

The hire follows a string of appointments in recent months at the company as NFP expands its presence in the North America management liability market.

Senior talent that has joined the broker recently includes Spac D&O and general liability insurance specialist Andrew Prendergast, who moved over from Marsh in October.

Earlier in the year NFP also hired financial institutions claims specialist Lauren Kim from QBE North America, as well as three senior members of the cyber market: Elissa Doroff, Akhil Chopra and Ben Beeson.

Commenting on Saddington’s appointment, NFP executive vice president and head of P&C business Henry Lombardi said: “Adding an industry veteran like Scott is another example of our commitment to building teams of experts to support clients across industries.”

“We understand the value of investing in specialty talent to address the unique and complex needs that companies – including financial institutions – face in this dynamic world. We look forward to utilizing his industry knowledge and experience to help clients overcome significant challenges.”

“NFP is focused on expanding capabilities to help clients solve problems and seize opportunities and I’m looking forward to contributing to these efforts,” said Saddington.
