Texas Senator Ted Cruz on Wednesday reintroduced to Congress legislation that would abolish the Federal Insurance Office (FIO).

Senate bill 524, the Federal Insurance Office Abolishment Act, is part of a package of measures intended to pare back regulation introduced in 2010 in the wake of the 2007-09 financial crisis.
