Insurer Fortegra Group has filed for an initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange, becoming the latest in a series of mid-sized carriers to opt for a listing.

The company, a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed holding company Tiptree, is looking to raise $100mn in capital and will trade under the ticker FRF.
