New York State’s insurance regulator has written to all insurers that do business in the Empire State, urging them to improve diversity at the top of the industry.

In an open letter, Linda Lacewell, New York’s Superintendent of Financial Services, said she expected insurers to make diversity among board members and senior managers a strategic priority.
