Root has been hit by a class action lawsuit from investors which accuses the InsurTech of making false and misleading statements in public disclosure.

The suit, filed by Bragar Eagel & Squire in the district court for the Southern District of Ohio, alleges that investors who bought Root shares between October 28, 2020 and March 8, 2021 were led astray by “false” statements...
