Aon puts March US severe weather insurance bill at more than $1bn

Severe weather in the US last month, including tornadoes, hail, and flooding, is expected to generate more than $1bn in insured losses, according to Aon’s latest Impact Forecasting report.

Central and southern regions of the US bore the brunt, with around 122 tornadoes touching down last month. States that were particularly impacted include Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Georgia, and Tennessee.
