Ratings agency AM Best has placed Hallmark Financial Services’ and its subsidiaries’ ratings under review with developing implications following the parent’s announcement that it was to pursue an IPO of its specialty subsidiary.

Hallmark Insurance Group members’ A- financial strength rating is under review, as is their long-term issuer credit rating (ICR) of a-, with the review applying to units including Hallmark Specialty.
