US insurance regulators are now seeking additional information for some private equity-backed insurance deals, according to Debevoise and Plimpton.

In its spring 2021 private equity report, the law firm said state regulators are examining private equity structures more thoroughly and digging into how control is exercised, which may include information about ultimate controlling persons.
