United Insurance Holdings (UPC Insurance) has said it was considering a sale of its New York homeowners’ carrier Interboro as it renewed a smaller reinsurance treaty for the 2021 season.

Many Floridians have been cutting back their reinsurance buying after shrinking their underlying portfolios, having been hard hit by last year’s storms and rising loss trends.
