Aon has agreed to sell its US retirement business to Aquiline and Aon Retiree Health Exchange to Alight for a total consideration of $1.4bn.

The deal is a further step towards satisfying anti-trust regulators to gain approval for Aon’s impending takeover of Willis Towers Watson.
