Updated RMS Atlantic hurricane model approved for Florida rate filings

Modeling agency RMS’ updated Atlantic hurricane model was approved on June 1 by the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (FCHLPM) for use in residential rate filings with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.

In May, RMS announced that it would release version 21.0 of its RiskLink model, which the company said incorporated over $6bn in new claims data.
