Arch Reinsurance has agreed to acquire Somerset Bridge Group, which comprises a claims handling, brokerage and MGA for UK motor insurance, as the reinsurer looks to enhance its motor co-insurance and reinsurance proposition.

According to its website, Somerset runs a brokerage through its Somerset Bridge Insurance Services business, which trades under the GoSkippy and Vavista brands but also via an affinity partnership with Debenhams.
