Colorado State adds three named storms to 2021 forecast

Researchers at Colorado State University (CSU) added three named storms to their prediction for an above-average hurricane season, bringing their forecast to 20 from an initial 17.

In their third forecast for the already busy season, CSU’s Tropical Weather and Climate Research team cited Hurricane Elsa’s development in adding another hurricane, bringing the total predicted to nine from eight.
