Travelers veteran Tom Kunkel, who has led the carrier’s surety and management liability business since 2005, will be retiring in September, the company disclosed during its earnings call on Tuesday morning.

Kunkel will be succeeded in the role by Jeff Klenk, who is currently executive vice president for management liability, bond and specialty insurance and has worked at Travelers since 1999.
