The industry’s changing view of cyber risk accumulations is requiring carriers to hold additional capital against their exposures, which is driving some of the push on pricing, Axis CEO Albert Benchimol has said.

In the firm’s earnings call with analysts, the CEO said that cyber in the second quarter was not running at a loss despite the dramatic rate rises being pushed through.
