A weekend of heavy downpours caused flooding across Utah, leaving homes and other buildings damaged and roadways covered with mud, debris and waterlogged vehicles.

Social media was filled with photos of Salt Lake City’s roadways turned into rivers, with one intrepid kayaker trying to make his way down a flooded city street.
