Argo premiums rise 2% as underwriting profits climb on lower cats, int’l improvement

Lower catastrophe losses, improved underlying results, and favorable development helped push Argo to a $21mn underwriting profit in the second quarter, rising from the $0.4mn gain the company recorded a year ago.
