Texas surplus lines see record July with 15.6% premium increase

The Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLTX) has announced a Texas surplus lines premium of $863.1mn during July, bringing its total to $5.42bn year-to-date.

This figure is a 15.6% increase in premiums from the previous year, and while it does not break an overall record, it is the highest premium reported for the month of July on record.
