Allianz Structured Alpha Funds loss could land at EUR3.5bn-EUR6.8bn: Berenberg

Allianz’s total costs from the US Department of Justice (DoJ) investigation into its Structured Alpha Funds and its subsidiary, Allianz Global Investors (AGI) US, will likely fall between EUR3.5bn and EUR6.8bn ($4.1bn-$8bn), according to Berenberg analysts.

A report from Michael Huttner and Thomas Bateman estimated that Allianz may be looking at a base-case loss of $4.1bn,
