Henri threatens New England landfall with Category 1 winds

Tropical Storm Henri will likely strengthen to a hurricane on Saturday and could sustain Category 1 wind speeds until it makes landfall on its current projected track on the New England coast.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said that it could hit parts of Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts on Sunday, with wind speeds of at least 70 mph at landfall.
