Investors entering insurance brokerage space target riskier segments: McKinsey

McKinsey & Company said investors entering the insurance brokerage space are targeting traditionally “adjacent or riskier asset classes” such as nonstandard auto agencies or MGAs focused on cyber insurance, given higher multiples.

“In 2020 around 70% of acquired brokerages had standard P&C lines,” McKinsey said in a report on insurance trends.
