KCC pegs Ida insured loss at $18bn

Karen Clark & Company (KCC) has estimated that insured losses from Hurricane Ida will be $18bn, with $40mn in the Caribbean and the rest from wind and storm surge losses in the US.

The estimate, which includes residential, commercial and industrial property and auto losses, comes after this publication revealed that early modelled loss data for the storm was converging around $16bn-$17bn.
