Everest Re has hired Citigroup’s John Modin as president of its Mt Logan business, a role he will take over on 30 September.

Modin, who was managing director in the financial services group and head of insurance solutions at Citi, will succeed David Whiting, who is retiring after a 45-year career in the reinsurance industry.
