Three federal judges this week turned away suits demanding insurers pay claims for business losses related to pandemic lockdowns, adding to a growing pile of case law that applies virus exclusions and other provisions to the government-mandated closures.

US District Judge Gary Brown found in favor of Nationwide and The Ohio Casualty Insurance Co in a judgment on combined cases where the business owners claimed their all-risk policies should apply to their lockdown-related losses.
