The Sequoia National Park closed services and facilities early Friday after intensified wildfires in California, caused by a significant lightning storm on Thursday, threatened infrastructure and resources.

Authorities have issued evacuation orders and crews are creating fire breaks with bulldozers to suppress the fire as it grows in all directions.
