California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara has ordered insurers to preserve residential coverage as wildfires affected 22 counties north of the state.

More than 325,000 policyholders have been impacted by wildfires that include the Dixie, Caldor, River, Tamarack, Antelope, McFarland, Monument, Fly, and Cache outbreaks.
