Horace Mann Educators Corporation is anticipating third-quarter cat losses of $35mn-$40mn, driven mainly by Hurricane Ida.

The company said its Ida loss will be between $20mn and $25mn, due largely to policyholder losses in the Gulf of Mexico states.
