Nationwide has appointed George Williams as COO for its excess and surplus (E&S) and specialty team.

Williams will be responsible for E&S/specialty business operations, claims, and Nationwide Indemnity.

Before joining the Ohio-based insurer, Williams spent the last year and a half with Guy Carpenter as head of global client support services.
