Pancoast to lead Ironshore’s E&S primary casualty business
Liberty Mutual has appointed Adam Pancoast to lead the excess and surplus (E&S) primary casualty business at Ironshore, to help spearhead growth in the E&S casualty market.
As national manager for E&S Casualty, Pancoast will report to Toby Smith, who holds the title of global risk solutions president at Liberty Mutual, for North America specialty environmental and US casualty.
Based in Atlanta, Pancoast will be responsible for all aspects of strategy, appetite, product innovation and distribution.
Smith said: “Adam’s keen understanding of the E&S market, unparalleled underwriting management and strong relationships made him the ideal candidate to lead our E&S casualty operation.
“He’ll work across our E&S practice – and throughout global risk solutions – to provide tailored solutions to the complex E&S casualty challenges facing risk buyers and brokers.”
Pancoast, who most recently served as regional vice president, senior underwriting manager, has more than 13 years of experience with Liberty Mutual.
He joined Ironshore in 2017 as assistant VP, underwriting officer, a position he held for two years according to his LinkedIn profile.
The move comes amid a raft of new executive leadership appointments at Liberty Mutual, which CEO David Long said will provide more creative, complete solutions for customers and partners.
