Insurance broker Brown & Brown has struck its first deal of the new year with the acquisition of independent retail agency Harco Insurance Services for an undisclosed sum.

With the acquisition, struck through its subsidiary Brown & Brown Lone Star Insurance, the Daytona Beach, Florida-based broker will expand its operations in Texas.
