Cyber underwriting discipline to continue in 2022, despite rate hikes: Gallagher

Retail broker Arthur J Gallagher expects to see continued disciplined underwriting in the cyber market, with increasing focus on data security controls, as rates continue their upward trajectory, the broker said in its latest cyber market conditions report.

According to the study, restrictive coverage terms, mandatory sub-limits and exclusionary language related to cyber incidents will all play a role in determining the state of the market, not just climbing rates.
