Aon board authorizes additional $7.5bn share repurchase

Aon’s board of directors has approved a $7.5bn share repurchase program, in addition to the existing buybacks, which had around $1.7bn of remaining authorization as of December 31 2021.

With the new approval, the firm’s total authorization increased to approximately $9.2bn, before any share repurchase in the first quarter of 2020.
