NFP’s M&A executive vice president Carl Nelson has said that following an acquisition, company culture can suffer when buyers focus on reducing headcount and margin improvement, instead of looking to drive growth through retention and cross selling.

In an interview with Inside P&C, Nelson argued for a “holistic” strategy, particularly when it comes to due diligence and integration.
