Hiscox predicts limited direct and indirect Ukraine impact on portfolio

Hiscox doesn’t expect much direct impact from the Ukrainian conflict on its portfolio, CUO Joanne Musselle said as she laid out three different ways insurers will be impacted by the invasion on an earnings call today.

She split these into direct coverage that could be triggered, the impact of sanctions on premium income, and indirect exposures, such as increased cyber risk or escalating inflation.
