IGI president Waleed Jabsheh has warned of the risks of prioritizing top-line growth over profitability, as his firm reported a combined ratio of 86.4% for 2021.

The carrier has been building out and diversifying the business – registering 16% top line growth for the year – but the executive said the firm would only do so while keeping an eye on the bottom line.
