Markel and Markel Catco have received court approval for the buy-out transaction being undertaken by two Catco ILS funds, which are currently in run-off.

Bermuda and US courts granted approval for the transaction for the Markel Catco Reinsurance Fund and the Catco Reinsurance Opportunities Fund, both of which are managed by Markel Catco Investment Management.
