AM Best has announced it is suspending all commercial activities in Russia and will withdraw all credit ratings on Russian-based (re)insurance companies before the European Union’s (EU) April 15 deadline.

On March 15, the EU announced that the provision of credit ratings to "legal persons, entities, or bodies established in Russia" would be banned by April 15.
