The commercial lines market right now is in pretty good health. Reported results are improving. And more importantly, with rate in excess of trend and Covid’s depressing influence on claims, management teams have the space for balance sheet repair at the same time. Growth is robust. Brokers are passing through a supercycle that is driving record performance.

There are causes of angst, with nuclear verdicts – many driven by litigation financing – a point of concern, along with elevated catastrophe frequency.
