Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has confirmed that a special legislative session will go ahead in May to address challenges in the state’s property insurance market.

He will sign a proclamation this week setting out dates and other details for the meeting.

AP News reported that the session will focus on property insurance market reform and may also address other issues.
