Consolidated organic growth at Daytona Beach-based broker Brown & Brown decelerated by 200 basis points (bps) year-over-year to 7.8% in the first quarter on a consolidated basis and fell by 90 bps to 8.9% in its retail brokerage unit.
The broker’s first-quarter earnings rose by 10% to $0.77 per share, in line with analysts' average expectation of $0.76
