Enstar has purchased a 3.4% stake in Argo, ahead of the Bermudian’s announcement it was exploring strategic alternatives, in a move that makes the legacy carrier Argo’s ninth largest shareholder.

Enstar disclosed the $49mn stake last week through a 13F announcement, which detailed its first-quarter investment activity.
