Everest Re has hired David Harris as senior vice president and chief reserving actuary, succeeding industry veteran Ellen Edmonds.

In his new role, Harris will oversee the Bermuda-based carrier’s reserving strategy. He will report directly to COO and head of reinsurance, Jim Williamson.
