Insurers in the renewable energy sector are faced with a “soaring cost of losses” following a skyrocketing in the price of raw materials and specialist components, according to GCube.

GCube said claims in the sector were increasing ahead of the inflation curve, with lockdown measures in China and wider supply chain woes all adding to costs.
