Floir suggested 27 insurers for monitoring before Demotech's downgrade notices

Before Demotech issued its downgrade warnings earlier this week, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Floir) referred 27 insurers for "enhanced monitoring", according to a July 1 Floir report.

In the report reviewed by this publication, Floir states that it "formally referred those insurers to the stability unit" after the legislation from the special session was passed.
