The Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema) said its latest update to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) will result in one million fewer Americans buying flood insurance by the end of the decade, The Associated Press reported.

The estimate, found in a report obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, is in direct opposition to Fema statements before Congress about the update to the flood program, AP reported.
