Old Republic’s second-quarter combined ratio for general insurance (GI) improved 1.5 points to 92.5%, driven by a 2.8-point improvement in its quarterly loss ratio.

In tandem, the company’s headline combined ratio increased by 0.3 points to 90.9%.
