AFG’s Q2 CoR improves 1.9 points, driven by specialty casualty and financial units

American Financial Group (AFG) has reported a 1.9-point improvement in its Q2 combined ratio, driven by better performance in its specialty casualty and specialty financial divisions.

The specialty casualty division’s CoR fell 7.8 points year on year to 80.1%, while the specialty financial segment’s CoR dropped 8.0
