One of two scenarios for Hurricane Ian resembles Tarpon Springs: BMS

BMS weather analysts have set out two likely scenarios for Hurricane Ian as it approaches Florida, the worse of which would resemble the destructive 1921 Tarpon Springs hurricane.

A repeat of the 1921 storm would cost the insurance industry between $15bn and $25bn, BMS meteorologist Andrew Siffert said.
