Multiple failures of wind stations affected by windspeed are making the reconstruction of Hurricane Ian’s wind footprint “a challenge,” RMS’ chief risk modelling officer Mohsen Rahnama said in an official statement.

The executive noted that RMS’ event response team is using the data available to finalise the footprint for Florida, including the second landfall in South Carolina.
